Most leaders do not have an execution problem.
They have a diagnosis problem.

When a team stalls, the gaps get given familiar names:

“They need to follow through.”

These sound specific.
They are not.

Those are not personality flaws.
They are gaps in strategic competency.

Imagine and design what comes next.

🔸 Move the system
Navigate people, power and structure.

🔸 Deliver the results
Turn ideas into outcomes.

🔸 Adapt to change
Learn and adjust while everything is still moving.

Adapt sits in the middle because strategy rarely survives contact with reality unchanged.

Here is where leaders get it wrong:

👉 Read a competency gap as a character flaw and you coach the wrong problem for a year.

The person stalls.
The team compensates.

And eventually, the gap becomes your problem as the leader.

But when a team shares the right language, something changes.

People stop mistaking friction for underperformance.

Strengths become easier to use.

Ownership becomes clearer.

The right person steps into the right problem.

And strategy stops being something only the leader can carry.
