It's about time we address the elephant in the room: Company leadership programs are failing women.

Leadership is not a one-size-fits-all deal.

But most of these sponsored programs haven’t gotten the memo.

For 10 years in corporate, I hoped to get my answers on getting promoted to VP.

Long story short,

I only got confused and had to navigate the double bind myself.

But guess what?

It wasn't until I designed my own women's leadership program after...

Getting certified after almost 700 hours of coaching
Coaching women leaders for years
Getting the CIQ cert, Bates cert, DEI training
And interviewing 100+ women before creating it

...That I realized most of the stuff taught in these sponsored programs was watered down to make it generic for everybody.

And even if there is a program specifically for women...

It's tweaked versions of strategies that were originally cooked up by and for men.

Not to mention, the isolation part.

So often I hear from female leaders how lack of community and not having someone who gets them affects their mental health.

Sure, these programs might toss in a module or two aimed at 'diversity' or 'inclusion'...

But what about helping women navigate deeper issues like:

- Building resilience against gender-based biases
- Creating a proper plan for getting promoted
- Being authentic and not "one of the guys" to fit in
- Managing work-life boundaries
- Overcoming the imposter syndrome that plagues many high-achieving women

Inclusivity isn't in adaptation.

But in providing a real foundation to support these women on their way to the C-suite.

Anything less just doesn’t cut it.
