Middle managers are caught up... in the middle.

Forbes points out some dilemmas they face like:

💼 Hit the numbers, stay on schedule and meet customer demands.
↳ But also ensure people are retained and wellbeing is supported.

💼 Develop rapport with their teams.
↳ Meanwhile maintain appropriate distance and professionalism.

💼 Implement something they haven’t influenced and which they may or may not agree with.
↳ While also managing themselves and others at the same time.

Only a special kind of leader can juggle these demands, cater to everyone, and find a middle ground among all issues.

So the least we can do for these unsung heroes is:

- Value their ideas and empower them in their role
- Avoid laying unrealistic demands with few resources
- Give them support, leadership training, and mentors

Because their impact extends far beyond office walls.

And into the mental health and personal lives of employees.

They're not the center.

But the backbone of our organizations today. 💛
