He replied:

“I couldn’t do it because I was so many levels lower than the team leader”

This proved one thing then and there.

→ Their leader didn't create an environment where people felt safe to speak up.

There was no such thing as psychological safety present.

So today I want you to ask yourself:

Does your workplace have an environment where someone can raise their hand and say:

“I need help.”
“I made a mistake.”
“I don’t understand.”

2️⃣ Give people your most generous interpretation of their intentions, as Brené Brown recommends.

3️⃣ Keep expectations clear to decrease the likelihood of team members looking incompetent or intrusive

A culture of silence is the loudest alarm for leadership failure

So flip the script.
